Job Summary
Market Title: Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor (dependant on qualifications)
Unit/Department: School of Nursing (SN) in collaboration with the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS)
These are 9-month appointments (normally September through May). Positions to be filled as early as January 2012.
Responsibilities*
General Description:
The University of Michigan, School of Nursing seeks individuals for Clinical Track Faculty Cluster Lead positions in a new educational approach to integrate education, practice and research for 2012-2013. These exciting positions require innovative thinking and actualizing a model that fosters integration of faculty from the School of Nursing with our colleagues at the UMHS. Expertise in leadership, clinical education, interpersonal skills, and implementation of new models of care delivery and education are among the required characteristics being sought for this position. Among the expectations for this position are 1) leading and fostering scholarship development, delivery of high quality of care and innovations with students, staff and colleagues within a specified cluster of inpatient units; 2) overseeing Clinical Track Faculty roles within the cluster; 3) addressing and resolving issues that may arise as this new model is implemented; and 4) working with the SON and UMHS leadership to define and track outcomes of this new model.

Required Qualifications*
Qualifications:
* Doctorate in nursing required or highly related field
* A current Michigan nursing license.
*Prior to start date must be in compliance with all health requirements.
* Demonstrated clinical teaching ability and practice excellence in a defined relevant area of clinical expertise
* Current clinical experience in a practice relevant role
* Evidence of clinically relevant scholarship
* Evidence of increasing service to the profession and academic community
