Responsibilities*

The University of Michigan, School of Nursing, seeks individuals for pediatric clinical track faculty positions in a model that integrates education, practice and research (Clinical Initiative on Excellence). These exciting positions require innovative thinking and actualizing a model that fosters integration of faculty from the School of Nursing with our colleagues at the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS). These positions are full-time 9-month faculty in the School of Nursing on the clinical track and fully embedded at UMHS working with students and staff in practice.

The clinical educators hired will be doctorally prepared and have a demonstrated high level of competence in advanced pediatric clinical practice. We are soliciting applications from experienced pediatric clinicians who want to blend teaching, practice and scholarship. Applicants will be considered for all market titles listed above, depending on experience and scholarly productivity. Applicants must have demonstrated expertise in the advanced pediatric clinical practice role. Required Qualifications*

Qualifications (dependent on market title):
*Doctorate (preferred) in nursing or highly related field
*A current Michigan nursing license required
*Demonstrate high level competence in advanced pediatric clinical practice
*Demonstrate excellent communication, networking, and relationship building skills
*Desire work that engages in the educational mission, with progressive successful mastery of teaching skills, and developing scholarly activities
Additional Qualifications (dependent on professorial rank):
*A record of scholarly attainment in the area of advanced pediatric practice nursing including publications, evidence-based practice guidelines, and other forms of scholarship preferred
*A reputation among colleagues for outstanding achievements and recognized contributions in the field of pediatrics
*An admirable record of academic, professorial and community service.
